Joan and I were married on August 28, 1971 and over the past 36 years have been blessed with a wonderful family. Four children, Aaron, Jonathan, Michal, Ruth and four grandchildren.

With over thirty years in full time ministries together we have filled positions from serving as pastors of growing, healthy churches to evangelizing across the country. From 1992 until 2005 we served as pastors of Live Oak Church of God in Hinesville, Georgia. During our thirteen years of ministry there, we were blessed to see the congregation grow from 400 to 1000 in attendance.

The ministry at Live Oak is unique in that Hinesville, Georgia is home to Fort Stewart where the 3rd Infantry Division of the US Army is stationed. With sixty percent of the people coming from the military post it gave them a multicultural congregation which ministered to over ten different nationalities, and people from all fifty states.

In 2003 when the 3rd ID was sent to be the spear head for Operation Iraqi Freedom, doors began to open for a new field of work. Opportunities to take the gospel beyond Hinesville and reach out to the Muslim world were now available. With these new doors of ministry before us we joined forces with Dennis Smith Ministries and have become full time evangelist, teachers and missionaries to the body of Christ.  Our oldest son Aaron is now the senior pastor at Live Oak Church and our daughter Michal and her husband Jessie continue to serve as youth pastors.

I truly believe I was born to preach the gospel and it is for that reason I am counterstained by the Spirit to go into all the world preaching and teaching all He has commanded us. Joan has a special gift for speaking to the needs of women and their relationships. Together we are used of the Lord in speaking to small group meetings or to large congregations. I am a private pilot and love to fly the ministry aircraft to most of our speaking engagements.

I travel on an annual bases to the country of Tunisia with Dennis to work with an school that trains students from around the world to witness and live in Muslim countries. Tunisia is located on the most northern tip of the continent of Africa between Algeria and Libya. A Muslim nation of ten million people with only two hundred known believers, it is a vast harvest field.

I have had the honor of serving on the state council, evangelism board and youth board for the Church of God in South Georgia. I have also served on the Church of God Ministry To The Military Board for eight years, during which time I made many trips to Europe ministering to military personal stationed overseas. Doors continue to open allowing the privilege to minister in servicemen centers across Europe.

With a passion for pouring the word of God into the lives of believers and a intense desire for building up the body of Christ, I consider it an honor to minister the wisdom and knowledge of the scriptures where ever the Spirit leads.
